Since Patricia Ellis and Ambassador Julia Bloch Chang founded the organization in 1995, WFPG has hosted a variety of international affairs programs on the most important issues of the day. We invite you to step back in time with us and relive some of our most exciting speakers and programs.

2006: Mentoring Future Women Leaders April 19, 2006 | Washington, DC As part of the WFPG's ongoing mentoring efforts, the organization launched its hallmark Mentoring Fair program at Georgetown University in DC and at Columbia University in NY. WFPG now holds annual programs in both cities and partners with George Washington University and New York University.
2006: WFPG Launches Annual UN Conference & Luncheon May 3, 2006 | New York, NY UN briefings and luncheons are held annually at UN Headquarters in New York and highlight the UN's progress, challenges, and opportunities. WFPG also holds individual programs with UN officials in Washington, DC.
2006: First Embassy Series Event: Embassy of Egypt June 22, 2006 | Washington, DC Embassy Series events are held at embassies, consulates, and diplomatic residences in New York, NY and Washington, DC and highlight issues pertinent to the host country. Countries have included Singapore, India, Oman, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Colombia, and Egypt.
2006: First Annual Celebration of Women Diplomats October 16, 2006 | Washington, DC WFPG's celebrations are held annually to honor and highlight the achievements of women diplomats in Washington, DC and New York, NY. The launch was hosted by WFPG Board Chair Maxine Isaacs.

2008 WFPG Conference on Islam November, 18, 2008 | Washington, DC The Faces of Contemporary Islam: Fresh Perspectives on Theory, Practice, and Foreign Policy WFPG held a conference as the culmination of a Carnegie Corporation of New York grant. The conference included panels on Islam and democracy, European policies and attitudes, and women's rights and realities.
