OUR VISION
The leadership and participation of women at all levels of policy-making is critical to advancing a peaceful and prosperous world.
OUR MISSION
The Women’s Foreign Policy Group empowers and advances women’s leadership in international affairs through cutting-edge global policy programs featuring prominent women leaders, robust mentoring programs, and premier networking with high-level foreign policy practitioners. Founded over 29 years ago, WFPG expands the foreign policy dialogue across political divides and generations and supports women leaders at every stage of their careers. Women are proven change agents, yet underrepresented in vital areas: in elected office, civil service, the military, and the private sector. We aim to change that.
WHAT WE DO
As champions of women’s leadership, we are proud of our role in expanding the constituency in international affairs by convening global experts and creating a vital network of women with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Through mentoring and career development programs, we connect aspiring leaders with role models, providing students and young professionals with the tools they need for career advancement and to contribute to a stronger, more peaceful, and equitable society.
WFPG’s frequent, in-depth global issues forums feature women thought leaders and news-makers from government, journalism, diplomacy, and academia. Our programming takes members beyond the headlines and provides context for key global challenges. Prominent leaders honored by WFPG have included: Secretaries Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice, and Hillary Clinton; international leaders such as Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk; U.S. officials including Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo; and corporate leaders including Goldman Sachs Managing Director Dina Habib Powell and Vice President for International Programs at Northrop Grumman Andrea L. Thompson.
WFPG is a nonpartisan, independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN 52-1818839).
