Strengthening and Promoting Women’s Leadership in Foreign Policy across borders and generations.

Join the WFPG network to demonstrate your embassy's support of the Women's Foreign Policy Group's mission to promote women's leadership and voices in international affairs. Our unique combination of international issues programming, leadership development, and mentoring provides Diplomatic Council members with frequent opportunities to engage with US policy-makers and influencers, and enhance and expand existing knowledge and networks in this ever-changing environment. Additionally, Diplomatic Council membership provides professional development for your up-and-coming women diplomats.

A key player in broadening the constituency for international affairs, WFPG brings together participants from across disciplines and links women domestically and internationally. We believe that by highlighting women leaders in foreign policy, we provide important role models for the next generation and create a vital network of women from different sectors, generations, and backgrounds.

Diplomatic Council members agree to host two events per year in partnership with the WFPG.

Event formats can range from intimate networking sessions to panel discussion settings to private meals, and beyond, and will be agreed upon by the embassy and the WFPG.
