Ambassador Kathleen Doherty is a career diplomat who served in Brazil and the Dominican Republic prior to becoming US Ambassador to Cyprus. She was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs, and has held leadership positions in Rome, London, and Moscow. Recognized with more than 15 State Department awards, Doherty has extensive experience working across public and private sectors with a particular expertise on global economic issues relating to energy, financial services, and technology. Today she is the Chief Strategy and Retreats Officer of the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands, a nonprofit that convenes experts from around the globe to address an array of diplomatic and societal issues. In addition to her distinguished diplomatic and international career, Kathleen is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, the American Academy of Diplomacy, the advisory board Sparks & Honey, a cultural intelligence consultancy company, and the board of the Cyprus-American Archaeological Research Institute.

Ambassador Barbara J. Stephenson, a former US Ambassador and career U.S. Foreign Service officer, is the inaugural Vice Provost for Global Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She leads UNC Global and advances a pan-university strategy to enhance Carolina’s global reach, impact and reputation. She is also a Professor of the Practice in UNC’s Peace, War and Defense curriculum, where she engages the next generation of global leaders on topics such as conflict resolution and the ethics of government leadership. She was previously the Dean of the Leadership and Management School at the Foreign Service Institute and served as US Ambassador to Panama from 2008-2010. She was the first woman to hold the position of Chargé D'affaires and Deputy Ambassador at the US Embassy in London. Originally from Florida, she earned her Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from the University of Florida, majoring in English literature with minors in Latin American studies and political science.

Foreign Service Officer Katie Conti, currently serving her first tour as a Foreign Service Officer (Generalist, Public Diplomacy Cone) at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. She served as one of the co-chairs for the WFPG Young Professional Network from 2021-2023. Over the past few years, Katie has been working her way through the Foreign Service Officer Selection Process but joined in January 2023. Katie recently worked with Meridian International Center in Washington D.C. to coordinate implementation of the Pan Africa Youth Leadership Program, a youth exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her previous professional experiences include executive support and strategic planning/nonprofit development at The Brookings Institution & CSIS; supporting protocol & cultural affairs as a Student Ambassador at the World's Fair (EXPO) 2015 in Milan, Italy; international development program support, monitoring & evaluation, and communications at the Near East Foundation; Social & Traditional Media monitoring with the State Department's Africa Regional Media Hub in Johannesburg via Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS); and several leadership & communications roles at Syracuse University. Katie earned a Msc in Global Media and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, United Kingdom and a BA in International Relations, Public Communication Studies & Geography from Syracuse University. In addition to WFPG, Katie is a member of the Public Diplomacy Council of America, and supported the establishment of the PDCA’s Rising Professional membership category. She speaks French and Italian, as well as a bit of Russian, Spanish, and Wolof.
