DESCRIPTION:
The Generation Equality Forum, convened by UN Women and co-hosted by the go vernments of France and Mexico, is a global gathering that intends to drive concrete actions and accelerate progress toward gender equality. 25 years after the Beijing Women’s Conference, the commitments made then have not be en matched by action and implementation, and COVID-19 has further exacerbat ed inequality. The Forum, which kicks off in Mexico City in late March, pro vides a landmark opportunity to advance women’s rights and make sure gender is at the center of the post-COVID agenda.
