Sabeen Malik is a globally recognized leader in technology policy and government affairs, with over 15 years of experience driving strategic policy engagement and market expansion at the intersection of emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and international diplomacy. She currently serves as Vice President for Global Government Affairs and Public Policy at Rapid7, a global cybersecurity company, where she leads the company’s global affairs function and has pioneered a first-of-its-kind geopolitical cyber risk program. In this role, she advises the Board, CEO, and executive leadership on global policy risks and market entry strategies, while aligning public policy priorities to support innovation in security, AI, privacy, and emerging technologies.  Throughout her career, Malik has built and led high-impact government relations and product policy programs at globally respected companies. Her work bridges technical depth and geopolitical awareness—translating complex emerging technologies such as AI, cloud infrastructure, quantum encryption, and data platforms into actionable policy and regulatory frameworks that enable global innovation. An early voice in AI governance, she hosted the first U.S. State Department roundtable on international AI policy in 2014. She has also played leading roles in cross-border trade and innovation initiatives, supporting product launches and initiatives in more than 25 countries. Malik is a former working group member of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), where she contributed to pivotal reports on cloud security and post-quantum cryptography. In addition to her corporate leadership, Malik is a trusted advisor to think tanks and civic organizations. She holds advisory roles with AI2030 and the Stimson Center as part of the Loomis Council. She is also a Truman National Security Fellow, a CSIS Abshire-Inamori Fellow, Aspen Ideas Fellow, and a member of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.
